Polio virus has been confirmed in 54 environmental samples in Pakistan so far: Federal officials - 

The presence of polio virus was confirmed in the environmental samples of eleven districts of the country.

According to the federal authorities, polio virus has been confirmed once again in the environmental samples of 11 districts of Balochistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Punjab and Sindh.

Confirmation of poliovirus in environmental samples from 4 districts of Pakistan

According to officials, the polio virus was found in environmental samples from four different areas of Chaman Pashin and Quetta in Balochistan, Bannu in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and four in Peshawar.

Polio virus was also found in the environmental samples of Kemari and District Central of Karachi in Sindh and Gulshan Ravi in Lahore in Punjab.

In Pakistan, polio virus has been confirmed in 54 environmental samples so far, while the fourth case of polio was also reported in Karachi yesterday.
