If you want to avoid premature death in middle age, make it a habit to eat a diet rich in fruits, vegetables and whole grains.

This was revealed in a medical study in America.

A study by the Harvard TH Chan School of Public Health found that consuming more plant-based foods reduced the risk of premature death from any cause by nearly a third.

Along with this, high consumption of plant foods can also reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 51%, which also reduces the risk of various diseases.

The study examined data on the dietary habits of more than 200,000 people to find out how different foods affect health.

All of these individuals were free of major disease at the start of the study and their health was monitored for 34 years.

During this period, every 4 years, details of dietary habits were obtained from these individuals through questionnaires.

Based on diet, the researchers divided these people into 15 groups and found that a diet rich in fruits, vegetables and whole grains is good for our planet as well as our health.

Research has shown that the risk of early death from any cause is reduced by 30% in people who consume such a diet.

According to research, in such people, the risk of death from dementia is reduced by 28%, while the risk of death from cardiovascular diseases is 14%, the risk of death from cancer is 10%, while the risk of death from respiratory diseases is 10%. The risk drops to 47 percent.

Our dietary habits can help slow climate change along with health, the researchers said.

He further said that the results prove that the health of humans and the earth are interconnected.

The results of this study were published in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition.
