The study involved 33 men and women and asked them toestimate when 30 seconds were up without a watch. The results showed that allthe subjects were wrong and felt that time passed faster.




But when these people were asked to estimate the time while cycling, they found 30 seconds to be 8% longer on average.

Earlier research reports also suggested that exercising makes time seem to pass more slowly.

 According to experts, physical activity and awareness make our body more alert and the feeling of pain slows down the passage of time. But this new study found that all forms of exercise make time seem to slow down.

The researchers acknowledged that their study was conducted on a small scale, but said it was clear that exercise significantly alters our perception of time.

Neha said that more work is needed in this regard so that the effects of exercise can be properly assessed.
