In this study, 12 thousand people were included whose average age was 53 years.


The subjects were asked about their caffeine intake at the start of the study and then their health was monitored for 20 years, during which time they filled out questionnaires several times.

The results showed that consumption of beverages such as tea and coffee in middle age reduces the likelihood of frailty in old age.
